Short Biography I've lived in Austin since 1983. After high school, my parents moved to Athens, Georgia. I attended Southwest Texas State University for my freshman year, and decided to finish up at The University of Georgia. After spending over 3 years in Athens, I knew that Austin was where I belonged. After college, I moved back to Austin. I've seen Austin transform over the past 20+ years. I've seen the developments- some good, some upsetting... But, somehow Austin has managed to keep most of the things I fell in love with so long ago. I can remember driving down unpaved ranch roads to get to the lake, now I drive through gated communities. I moved out to the lake area in 1991, since then I have been following the real estate market extensively, and investing when I could. Although I studied Journalism / Communications in school, I found work in the information technology field after college. Upon returning to Austin, I started working with Macintosh computers. After spending 5 years working with Macs, I moved on to database & network positions. I was the database administrator & network administrator for Citysearch.com during the beginning of the .com explosion. From there, I went on to ERP software consulting. I worked for SAP for 3 1/2 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at SAP. I was able to utilize my aptitude of learning to become the expert on complex technical products. I quickly moved up the corporate ladder to positions of greater responsibility. However, when SAP closed our Austin office, I decided to put my knowledge of Real Estate to work. The great thing about my previous employment, are the experiences they have allowed me. I've traveled extensively throughout the US & Europe. I've seen a lot of beautiful places, and a lot of incredible cities, but I have not found anyplace that I would rather call home. Austin is home. |
